Labcan is also recognized to perform nondestructive examinations in accordance with ASME Sec I, III, IV and VIII. Our written inspection procedures were demonstrated to the satisfaction of the local authorized inspector.
Labcan is approved by provincial authorities to carry out electromagnetic inspection of steel wire ropes for the mining industry in the following provinces: New Brunswick, Nova-Scotia, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and North Western Territories.
In 1996, Labcan's quality management system was registered by Quasar as meeting the requirements of ISO . Our Trois-Rivieres and Sorel-Tracy offices were registered ISO 9001:2000 by our registrar in February 2009;
In June 1997, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has assessed our equipment and procedure to satisfy the criteria set out in regulatory guide R-116 entitled Requirements for Leak Testing of sealed Radiation Sources. This certification allows us to perform leak testing of radioactive sources.
Labcan's personnel are certified as meeting most Canadian and American standards related to our field of expertise. Our staff holds current certification to CSA, C.G.S.B., A.S.N.T., A.C.C.P., S.A.B.S., AWS and API standards.
